Running a business and being a mother is definitely a difficult job, but being a mompreneur is the new thing for our upcoming generations.
Along with this superwoman title comes a huge level of responsibility and frustration; far more than the average mom has to deal with on a daily basis. Women are built to maintain many positions at once, but no one has ever said that it's always easy. It comes with many different challenges, regardless that doesn’t stop the show. Women
somehow always seem to make it work. That's just one of the many gifts that women are blessed with. Women are moving to becoming entrepreneurs, because of political reasons as well as wanting the flexibility of being able to be more available to their families and they don't have to worry about the hassle of working for anyone.
Maintaining a business can be a gift and a curse, therefore it holds it's advantages and disadvantages. There are often times that we have to stay up long hours and be sure to make time for everyone and everything.
As a mother we aim to make sure that things go right in our homes; however it's important to mothers that everyone is safe and happy. Even when we’re not happy ourselves.
In this new generation, things are a lot different than they use to be. Mothers use to stay at home and take care of the house; while the fathers worked and took care of the family financially. Nevertheless, we are dealing with this new generation of families, as time moves on. Women are becoming more and more independent and running single family households. Mothers are working to provide for their families alone and build legacies. By all means the moms today are determined to work hard and make it happen no matter what.
Raising children and growing a business requires us to know how to balance our lives and there are things that we have to do in order to be successful. Being a mompreneur requires consistent nurturing and attention for the business and family in order for them to grow and have an outstanding outcome. This is enough to break any woman down, so you must be sure to do a couple of things to stay afloat.
-make some time for yourself, even if it is only for 10 minutes.
-Set a schedule and stick to it. Set times that you're not available to anyone including your children.
-In order to be successful with both there must be a lot of time management, organization, and balance.
-Always keep a notebook handy or some type of organizer, so that you can keep your thoughts together and be able to jot down ideas or information that you don’t want to for.
Working a business and maintaining a family does have it's complications, but in the end it is a blessing for not only your future, but the future of your children and grandchildren. It's leaving behind that legacy. While you're business running your business. Keep in my mind to let your children help in any way possible.
